Did the male lock on to your female? She may have had a false pregnancy if you bred her to early. was it her first heat you bred on? Breeding on the first heat is not only dangerous to the female but the puppies too, make sure your female is in full season and old enough to breed, 3rd heat is best!! Vets will breed your dogs for you for a fee now-a-days...Good Luck
