Pit bulls are very loving & loyal dogs. Its even better the the dog will grown w/ small children in the house. Its not the dog you would have to worry about. Its the kids & they way they may try to play with the dog. Its how you raise the dog will determine out come

My Pit takes naps with my 3 yr old nephew. My 10 year old nephew and him are baseball throwing buddies. I've had my dog since he was 6 months old and frankly have never worried about the little guys with my dog. He is protective of them and actually started barking when my youngest went into the garage and is not supposed to be there. Great dog!

Both of my pitbulls are protective of the newborns in the family, if they fall down they begin licking them, and if they start crying and you're not there with them, the dogs come and get you. It's really amazing to watch, and its even better when they grow up with the kids. They're a wonderful breed
