it all depends on your american eskimo and how you handle the situation. if your dog is good with other dogs then it will most likely be ok with the puppy but if it shows aggression towards other dogs i would not recommend getting a second dog. You should have the older dog meet the new puppy somewhere thats neutral territory because if you just bring the new puppy into the house it may feel threatened and can get aggressive even if the dog is normally a friendly dog. keep the new puppy in a crate at night and when you cant watch it and give your older eskie lots of extra attention so it knows its still loved. if your dog is clicker trained everytime he/she looks at the new puppy and is calm or happy click and treat them. They will soon associate the new puppy with good things.
