I am about to adopt a 4 year old Eskie (she'll be coming home with us in a few days). The shelter didn't have any information about her past as she was found as a stray. When we met her she was very friendly and calm but I was wondering if there are different approaches we need to take to train a grown Eskie? All I can find online is how to train and bring home Eskie puppies. Any advice?

Training a grown eskie should be just as easy as training a puppy. Just be firm with displeasing activities. Do not leave them stray in your house at first when no one is home. My eskie has been trained and is well behaved but will still tear into anything he can find. He loves toy stuffing mostly, and I will find it all over my floors when I get home. Good luck! :)))

I required all my puppies to go to obedience school, and socialize. Eskies need to be in new circumstances and learn by it. Agility is super for Eskies, and is a great bonding time for you and them.
