Well, it is likely contact dermatitis from something your american bulldog rubbed up against. He may need some medication if it doesn't go away. Give him a good bath with no perfume... I like the natural oatmeal bath because it doesnt have anything in it that can irritate the skin. ALSO -- Lamb is a bad idea for some american bulldogs. They are prone to food allergies (as well as sensitive skin issues) and lamb is one of the main problems...along with soy. Try to stay away from processed foods with lots of fillers and stick to chicken as a protein source. I feed Diamond Naturals as it is highly rated and yet reasonable in price (they eat a ton so price can be an issue for aome people). Vets are sometimes clueless when it comes to this breed. I bet the skin clears up soon, if not get a topical from the vet and change the food please!! the lamb causes skin problems as well as ear infections in those dogs that are sensitive. You dont want to deal with that!
