Coloration can change in the Akita breed as a puppy, so that is normal. Deafness, however, is not common in the breed. Although the white gene is known to cause deafness. Contact your breeder, they should give you half of your purchase price back and be checking on other puppies. They should also be spaying and or neutering the dam/sire if they are producing deaf puppies. Take your pup to the vet as well and do a hearing test to confirm full on deafness.
