I have a 15 week old akita female puppy. We've had her since she was six weeks old. We have been very diligent about house training and have yet to get her trained. She'll go a week with no accidents and then it seems like we'll have two or three in a day. She's crate trained, sleeps in her crate at night, and can go all day in the crate/exercise pen and not pee. I know people say "what them like a hawk". We do! She doesn't sniff around indicating she has to go. She can be in mid stride and just stop and pee. It is so frustrating. We say no loudly, clap, immediately take her out. I'm so frustrated. She is wonderful otherwise. We've been working on the biting and she is doing well with that. She can sit, lie down, shake. HELP!!!!

when she was younger she could have had a different owner that she thought was her owner. akitas only listen to one person so maybe try getting her trust and love and then try training other than that there is nothing you can do.

Try taking to a vet, see if there is any thing wrong with your akita.

When you say "wrong with her", do you mean like a UTI or bladder infection?

This is a really hard one, I got my akita at seven weeks and he was almost naturally house trained, he just seemed to not like going on a hard surface. Do you have carpet? Maybe she is confusing the carpet with grass?
