I had first litter of 8 akita puppies born April 04,2012, does the web foot mean that their feet are wide or that they have an extra piece of skin between their toes? What age does this happen?

Akitas are born with webbed like feet. They were originally bred in northern japan and traveled the mountains and snow country. Thus the reason for the webbed like feet.
