My affenpinscher loves all kids and babies. He does'nt like to share his toys, but he's not aggressive, he just takes his toy back.

Take you time and desensitize him. Meaning take baby steps. Try having his favorite treat and get him to take one step into the room. Then praise him. Then maybe an hour later try it again. If he does well, then try two steps into the room with a treat and praise. Just take it a little at a time until he overcomes his fear.

I'm surprised that people are saying that Affies are not good with children. My Affie loves children and they can pull her ears, pat too hard, pull her hair, lift up her legs, mess with her tail...?? She LOVES all ages of children except maybe teenagers, they make her nervous, mainly because they are big and kind of gawky, so she's never really sure if one of them is going to step on or over her, or try to play too rough. I think any dogs can be good with children as long as they are given access to them at a young age.
