ID Verify
What is ID Verify?
ID Verify is a process offered securely by Equifax that performs several checks tied to the applicant’s consumer credit file, including verification of social security and driver's license number, home address and telephone number. In addition, a soft inquiry is made into one’s credit file to verify identity. One must identify certain installment and credit accounts, and their associated monthly payments. The ID Verification process is not a credit check, the credit information is for identification purposes only. Personal information is cross-checked against consumer and business databases for consistency. When the information is successfully verified, the advertiser receives an ID Verify icon in his or her ad(s) and member profile.
