Munsterlander Questions

What should a 4-year-old Munsterlander weigh?

Answer:
An adult Musterlander should weigh in between 18 - 27 KG/40 - 60 lbs depending on if the dog is male or female. By placing your hands on your dogs sides as he/she is standing, you should be able to feel the ribs without having to put pressure on the dog. If you can see the ribs, then your dog is too thin. But if you have to press inwards to feel the ribs, then your dog could lose a little weight.

Do small Munsterlander have knee problems?

Answer:
The small Munsterlander is not known for any knee problems, but that does not mean that they can not occur. Keeping your dog at a healthy weight and making sure he/she does not over-exert him/herself when he/she is a puppy are the best ways to keep your dog healthy and pain-free.
