Good With Dogs:⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜
A Mi-Ki is a Mi-Ki, just like a Beagle is a Beagle. :) All known breeds started out as cross breeds. Otherwise all dogs would be wolves! The Mi-Ki, according to the info I have written by Maureen Westberg Van Wormer, the only person responsible for the breed's creation, so to speak, started out with 1, and only 1 imported dog called a Won Chu Kow. In 1991, 11 years and 65 litters later, the Mi-Ki was in existence. The Mi-Ki consists of 7 different toy breeds: Imperial Chin, Shih Tzu, Maltese, Japanese Spaniel, Yorkshire Terrier, Papillon, and Tibetan Spaniel. Because there was 1 imported dog among the 7 other breeds, dozens of generations and many years back, I don't personally feel the Mi-Ki qualifies as an imported breed. JMHO. A Mi-Ki is a pure breed and DNA has shown now various breeds that made up a Mi-Ki, it can be shown because it is a pure breed, you can't show mixed breeds. Except in certain class, not with other pure breeds. There are many components of who had a hand in the creation of the breed and there was no breed named Won Chu Kow. It was made up by Maureen to add to its appeal, but today the wisdom panel has a DNA marker that will identify if you have a pure Mi-Ki.
